The BBB Wise Giving Alliance helps donors make informed giving decisions by evaluating charitable organizations. The groups it evaluates must meet high standards for accountability. Those standards set out to encourage fair and honest solicitation practices.

Platinum status is based on the amount of information we voluntarily provide to Guidestar, the world’s largest source of information about nonprofit organizations and a leader in advancing transparency in the nonprofit sector.
The annual list ranks the 100 largest U.S. charities, by private donations. Americares, the health-focused relief and development organization, brought in $1.2 billion in private donations during the most recently reported fiscal year. Forbes also awarded Americares a score of 99 percent for its fundraising efficiency and 98 percent for its charitable commitment.
