AmeriCares 2007 Year in Review

  • November 30, 2007

View Photo Gallery > In 2007, a number of disasters devastated communities and impacted the lives of people already struggling to survive on a daily basis. Most recently, a cyclone ravaged remote coastal towns in southern Bangladesh, leaving millions injured or homeless. AmeriCares responded immediately by delivering two shipments of emergency medicines and medical supplies as well as sending a relief team to coordinate the efforts and assess the damages. In addition, AmeriCares continued to support its own community: providing a two week summer camp for children impacted by HIV/AIDS; repairing the homes of those who are physically or financially challenged; and opening a new free health clinic to serve the uninsured of Fairfield County, CT.
