With the help of our generous supporters, AmeriCares reached 94 countries with aid that touched the lives of 15 million people in fiscal year 2012.Saving lives when disaster strikesFrom deadly tornadoes and hurricanes that swept through the U.S. to famine in Africa to cholera epidemics in Haiti and Sierra Leone, to flood disasters, we provided lifesaving aid to people in crisis and continued our work to help stricken communities recover and rebuild.
Bringing health and hope to people in crisisMore than 2 billion people worldwide don’t have access to the medicines and care they need to be healthy. Empowering medical volunteersThrough our Medical Outreach Program, we supported medical volunteers from 781 organizations for 1,054 medical trips to 83 countries.
