One of our longest-standing partners, Chevron has provided Americares with significant support to achieve our shared objectives to bring health and relief to people affected by poverty and disaster worldwide since 1988.
Starting in the late 1980’s, Chevron began partnering with Americares to support our provision of medicines and supplies to impoverished areas of Angola, Kazakhstan and Armenia. Since then, the company and its employees have worked with us on numerous other humanitarian responses, including our work to help contain and eradicate the Ebola virus in Sierra Leone in 2015. Chevron has also supported Americares Access to Medicine program, helping us to be the largest nonprofit provider of medicine and medical supplies in the world.
Chevron is an Americares Emergency Response Partner, providing key resources that allow us to maintain a response platform of medicines, supplies and emergency response experts. Thanks to Chevron and the other members of the AERP, when disasters strike, Americares can launch robust responses at a moment’s notice, delivering critical medicines and emergency supplies virtually anywhere in the world.
