Board Member
Vladimir Makatsaria, chief executive officer and board member of global medical device company LivaNova, joined the Americares board in 2024.
Mr. Makatsaria previously held numerous executive leadership roles at Johnson & Johnson, also serving as company group chairman at Johnson & Johnson MedTech, where he led Ethicon, a global leader in the surgical technologies market. He also previously served on Ethicon, DePuy and MedTech’s global leadership teams.
He currently serves on the board of the Advanced Medical Technology Association, the world’s largest medical technology association representing over 500 companies worldwide.
Mr. Makatsaria earned a bachelor’s degree in physiology, a master’s degree in health care administration and a master’s degree in business administration from the University of Minnesota.
